Man’s Problem-God’s solution

God’s desire for mankind from the beginning

Genesis 1:26

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

God created man in the image and the likeness of God different from how he made other creatures. The purpose to which God made man in His image and likeness was so that they would fellowship. This means that man had God’s character and qualities within him which gave him ability to relate and fellowship with God.

The man’s problem (sin)

Genesis 3:6-7

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so, they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

God gave man clear instructions while in the garden of Eden.  In Genesis 2: 17, He told him not to eat from the tree of the knowledge and evil. Unfortunately, Adam was deceived by Satan and he disobeyed God. Because of this disobedience man was disconnected from God. The disconnection of man from God is spiritual death and the sin of Adan and Eve came into human race. From this time sin became the problem of human kind.

All have sinned and in need of a savior

Through the sin of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, we are all born sinners. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).

As a result of sin death came upon mankind. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6: 23)

Since man cannot save him/herself he needed a Savior.

God’s remedy for Mans problem (sin)

John 3:16 – 17

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

God has provided the solution for man’s (problem) sin out of love through His only son Jesus Christ. It is through Jesus that we’ve got eternal life made available by His death on the cross.

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved (Ephesians 2:4-5)

How can you respond to God’s provision of salvation?

Romans 10:9-10

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Through your confession by faith that Jesus Christ is Lord and that He died and rose again from the dead because of your sin you’ll be saved.

Starting a new life:

Repent of your sins and surrender your life to Jesus. Commit to follow Him all the days of your life by asking Him to forgive you and deny your old life for the new.

Prayer: ‘Dear Lord, I admit that I am a sinner and that I have lived all my life in sin. Today I believe that Jesus Christ died for me on the cross, I believe that He rose again according to the scripture

I therefore accept the Jesus to be the Lord and the savior of my life and commit to follow you all the days of my life. In the name of Jesus I am born again

Congratulations you are now New creation

Welcome to the family of God. You are now a child of God (see John 1:12-13) But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

It is very important for you to know that the past is gone (totally erased) and now you are new creature in Christ Jesus. (see 2 Corinthians 5:17) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
